Malayalam film bodies expel Dileep after his arrest
Actor Dileep has been expelled by not one but three Malayalam film bodies after his arrest by the police for his alleged involvement in the case pertaining to the kidnapping and assault of a south Indian actress
Actor Dileep, who has been arrested and remanded to Judicial custody for a period of 14 days in connection with the kidnapping and harrassment case of a popular actress, has been expelled from AMMA, the association of Malayalam Movie Artists, and from the Kerala Film Producers Association.
Sources say that this morning, an emergency meeting of AMMA was convened at actor Mammootty’s house after Dileep was remanded to judicial custody. After the meeting, it was announced that Dileep was expelled from the association of which he was the treasurer.
Simultaneously, the Kerala Film Producers Association and the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) too announced that they had expelled the actor from the primary membership of their respective associations.
