Chennai, Nov 21 (COIN) Director Vipin Das’s Malayalam superhit film ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’, which revolves around the life of a couple after marriage, seems to have made at least eight times the sum that was invested in it.
Yes, if sources in the industry are to be believed, the film, which stars Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran in the lead, has collected nearly 40 crores from the initial releasing points of Kerala and GCC. The film is believed to have been made at a cost of anywhere between five to six crores.
Apart from Basil Joseph and Darshana, the film also features Anand Manmadhan, Azeez Nedumangad, and Sudheer paravoor among others.
Basil Joseph is known globally for his directorial film ‘Minnal Murali’ and heroine Darshana was the heroine of the much-celebrated movie ‘Hridayam’.
The film, which has had a dream run in Kerala, is now extending it to other Indian states.
‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’ released in the ‘Rest of India’ centres on November 11 and has been making a good impact.
