Maayavan to hit screens soon as Producer C V Kumar gets No Objection certificate

The long-awaited film, which features Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead, has got a No Objection certificate from Gopuram films…

Well known producer and director C V Kumar has every reason to smile as his film Maayavan, featuring Sundeep Kishen and Lavanya Tripathi, is likely to hit screens soon now.

It may be recalled that the producer, who owns the production house Thirukumaran Entertainment, had filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner on September 26 against Gopuram films. In the complaint, the producer had requested the cops to help him secure back the financial documents he had given to Gopuram films and also a No Objection certificate from them so as to enable him to release his film.

The producer has now announced that he was withdrawing the complaint as lawyers of Gopuram Films have promised to return his financial documents and have also produced a No Objection certificate in Ravi Prasad Lab. This means that the producer will now be able to release his film Maayavan without any further delay.

The well known producer, who has made several hit Tamil films, said, “I filed a complaint petition in front of the Commissioner of Police on September 26, 2017 seeking a No objection certificate for the release of my movie Maayavan and my financial documents given to Gopuram films from them. I produced the necessary documents during the inquiry by the police officers. Meanwhile, today, the advocates of Gopuram films produced the No objection certificate in Ravi Prasad lab to release the movie Maayavan and promised the return of my financial documents. As the purpose of the complaint has been accomplished technically, the complaint becomes null and void. Based on these circumstances, I have withdrawn the complaint given on September 26. We are now looking to release the movie Maayavan soon. Support us to recover from all these hurdles and to grow.”
