Nithya Menen plays singer Shailaputri Devi in ‘Gamanam’
Actress Nithya Menen makes a special appearance as singer Shailaputri Devi in the film Gamanam, which features Shriya Saran in the lead
Gamanam, the debut directorial venture of Sujana Rao, is touted to be a real life drama and is being made as a pan India entertainer in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Actor Sharwanand launched the first look poster of actress Nithya Menen, who makes a special appearance in the film as singer Shailaputri Devi.
Nithya Menen appears in an orthodox role, sporting a pleasant smile on her face. It may be recalled that Shriya plays the lead in this film.
It was only recently that the team released the first look poster of Shriya in the film. The actress appears in a de-glamorourised, traditional avatar in the film.
Ace writer Sai Madhav Burra has penned dialogues for the film and Isaignani Ilayaraja has scored the music for this film.
Gnana Shekar V.S., besides cranking the camera, is also bankrolling the project in collaboration with Ramesh Karutoori and Venki Pushadapu.
Sources say that the filming portions have been completed and that post-production work is underway.
