Rajini to meet fans from December 26

Superstar Rajinikanth is to meet his fans from 17 districts in the state at his Raghavendra Wedding Hall in Chennai from December 26 to 31.

The news has triggered excitement as it comes at a time when the industry is abuzz with reports that there is a good chance that Rajini will announce his entry into politics any time now.

Says a source,”Around 6,000 fans have been issued identity cards. Only those with identity cards and invites will be permitted to meet the star. Rajini had met fans from 15 districts of the state earlier this year. Now, he will meet fans from the remaining 17 districts including those from Vellore and Chennai. The idea is to meet fans from Chennai last on December 30 and 31.”

Out of the lakhs of fans the star has in each district, around 250 to 300 fans from each district have been selected and sent invites. The source hints that each district was asked to send around 400 to 500 names of fans, actively involved in the fan club activities and in social work, and of these 250 to 350 fans were selected by the headoffice. These people have been sent invites to meet the star.

On an average, the star is expected to meet around a 1,000 fans each day. He will meet them between 7 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Fans have been advised not to bring family members along with them when they come to meet him and also not fall at his feet. The star will pose for pictures with each of his fans individually during this round of meetings. Heavy security too has been arranged for the meetings.
