NCB summons Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor in drug case

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday issued summons to at least four leading actresses from the Indian film industry including Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor, in connection with its probe on the usage of drugs by Bollywood stars

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday issued summons to at least four leading actresses from the Indian film industry including Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor, in connection with its probe on the usage of drugs by Bollywood stars.

The probe, which began as a result of statements made by actress Rhea Chakraborty during her interrogation by the NCB after it came in possession of what’s app chats that established the actress had been procuring drugs, has now taken a dramatic turn with several top stars of Bollywood being summoned to the NCB’s office for interrogation.

Apart from Deepika, Shradhha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh, all of whom are hardcore feminists, the NCB has also issued summons to Sara Ali Khan.

Deepika Padukone will now have to appear before the NCB on September 25. Sources claim that the actress, who is in Goa, has been holding a video conference with her lawyers to seek their counsel.

Shradhha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will have to appear before the NCB on September 26.It is unclear when the NCB has asked Rakul Preet Singh to present herself before it for interrogation.
