How to train your dragon 3 is the final part of the franchise How to train your dragon, which is loosely based on the 2003 book by British author Cressida Cowell.

Written & directed by Dean DeBlois, the film stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Cate Blanchett, Craig Ferguson & F. Murray Abraham. In this conclusive part, Hiccup takes on Grimo, the grizzly, a man drunk on power and intent on hunting down the last of the alpha Night Furies.

Grimo is a man on a mission. He holds the belief that humans are a much more evolved and therefore higher species than dragons. Therefore, he believes the two cannot be treated on par. Needless to say, Grimo finds Hiccup’s theory of a peaceful co-existence between dragons and humans unpalatable. He intends to capture Toothless, the last of the night furies which happens to be the Alpha, and thereby lead the other dragons to their doom. After that, he plans to eliminate Toothless as well.

Grimo threatens Hiccup and asks him to hand over his night fury to him. Of course, Hiccup refuses to part with Toothless and a fight is on the cards. Hiccup, being the wise man that he is, knows that this is a fight he cannot win for Grimo himself commands powerful dragons.

Realizing that he has too many dragons to defend and that they are over exposed, he realises that the wiser thing to do would be to search for the Hidden world of the dragons which his dad had once told him about. The whole clan along with its dragons abandons its fortress to flee far from Grimo and to find Hidden World where the dragons will be safe forever.

But Grimo has other plans. He knows that the biggest weakness of the male species is love and sends in his captured night fury, a female to lure Toothless back to him. What happens next is what the film is about!

The film has some amazing animation work, action sequences and a fantastic musical score, all of which make it a thorough family entertainer. No wonder then that the film has already grossed over $467 million worldwide, becoming the 3rd highest-grossing film of 2019 so far!

John Powell, who composed the previous two films, has returned to compose the film’s score. The film has been edited by John K. Carr, who does a neat job of presenting an entertaining and engaging film.

In short, How to train your dragon 3 is a film that you must not miss!
