Here is the list of scenes cut by the Sarkar team!

Even as AIADMK cadres went on a rampage in the state yesterday, attacking cinema theatres screening the film Sarkar, and the police turned up at the door of the director of the film, A R Murugadoss, claiming to offer him protection, the filmmakers have, bowing to the pressure imposed on them by the ruling AIADMK, cut out certain sequences and muted certain dialogues in the film.

The film was recensored once again after the cuts and the new version has been issued for screening to theatres now.

According to the censor certificate, the scene in which mixie and grinder are thrown in to the fire in reel number 7 have been cut.

Also, the name “Komala” from the full name “Komalavalli” has been muted whereever it occurs. The name has also been removed from the corresponding sub-title.

The word ‘Podhupanithurai’ has been muted in Reel number four and the words ’56 varusham’in reel number seven have been muted. Accordingly, they have also been removed from the sub-titles.
